Hisashiburi...Gosh, it's been so long since I've last posted here. I can definitely say it's been a while since I've last watched anime... but thanks to youtube, I'm definitely watching something.
At the moment, I'm watching Azumanga Daioh. Seriously, that show makes me think the creator's on crack but that's what makes this show so enjoyable. I remember being horrified at the opening, as it has to be the most weirdest openings I've ever seen. But I soon grew to love it and can now sing the first verse.
One thing you'll like about the show is that not only is it funny, the characters are loveable. All except for Tomo-chan for me. She really bugs me at times, but yeah... she does make me laugh as well. The characters are definitely memorable.
One thing I don't like about Azumanga Daioh is during the pauses to create a dramatic effect. They're too long for me... and kinda gets me agitated. But other than that, I really love this show.
I don't understand why people compare this to School Rumble though. It's very very different from School Rumble, other than both being comedy anime. School Rumble is an anime full of hilarious misunderstandings. Azumanga Daioh is filled with crazy people trying to get through high school.
Meh... both are still good shows anyway.
I finally finished Gundam Seed Destiny and I really really do love Gundam Seed Destiny. The ending felt strange, and there were too many things hanging... but it was still pretty good. I heard there's gonna be another season... and there are tons of rumours flying about it. But I'll wait it out...
Tsubasa manga up to chapter 108 at the moment. I am really loving this new world. Minor spoiler... looks like a real X crossover this time. I really cannot wait to see what happens next...
Also, second season of Tsubasa will be out April 29th. Kinya and Sakamoto Maaya who sang the opening and ending theme last season are also singing in the second season with different songs. Kinya's opening is called 'IT'S' and Sakamoto Maaya's is called 'Kaze Machi Jet' (both rather strange titles... Lol!). I can't wait for that as well!
Two new Malay dubs on TV. One is Shaman King and the other Prince of Tennis. I've seen Shaman King's one and so far so good. My only gripe is that Manta sounds too mature for my liking. But then again, I don't think it's easy to find someone close enough to sound like Manta and can speak malay. Amidamaru's voice sounds too low but that's acceptable. The rest are also acceptable...
I'll be looking out for PoT next. I want to hear how my darling Ryoma sounds, and inform Vicky about how her darling Kikumaru sounds as well. I'm glad that these animes are finally dubbed because that means more exposure of anime in Malaysia. But I do wish they'd sub it rather than dub it. Oh well... I'm not complaining so much. I do enjoy dubs at times...
And is it me or is Malaysia really obsessed with Bleach? The anime section in the newspaper where people get to send their opinions... it's always filled with something about Bleach! I'm getting really tired of it... and it's not to say I'm a spoil sport to what Malaysian fans think... but I'd like to hear other things besides Bleach. Shall I talk about Tsubasa? Lol!
Oh, and talking about youtube at the beginning, I've created an account and am posting up my music videos there. ^^ Look out for me... my username is 'cherrytiger', so if you want to add me as a friend there, you're more than welcome. ^^ Or please review my AMVs... that'll be a great help.
Take care and God bless!
