Review!Finally, I took the time to watch another anime and it's called '
Peace Maker Kurogane'. This story's timeline reminds me a bit of Rurouni Kenshin but since I'm not a History expert, I could be wrong there.
Anyway, to summarize the story, our main character is Ichimura Tetsunosuke (who looks like a 10 year old who's actually 15) as he tries to enter and become one of the Shinsengumi to "become stronger" and to avenge the death of his parents by killing their murderer. He has a brother named Ichimura Tatsunosuke, who's always looking out for his brother since Tetsu always gets into trouble (think Naruto :p).
One great thing about PMK is the characters and their development. The characters (especially from the Shinsengumi) are all interesting, amusing and entertaining in their own way. Expect lots of surprises and prepare to be confused.
But there are some scenes that seem to be not shown on porpuse thus causing us viewers to be very confused and wondering "Hey! What just happened?". It can be pretty frustrating as they never explained these two scenes that I noticed.
As far as story line goes, there will be some surprises, and it can be a little frustrating (even the bad guys got on my nerves by actually existing in this show)but you have to give credit for their character development. I support the coupling Tetsu and Saya... they are just so adorable!
And if you're looking out for PMK pictures, notice that in some Tetsu pictures, there seems to be lines on his right ear. Don't worry... it is not a mistake on the picture. That's a scar Tetsu acquired from his first battle.
The opening ("You gonna feel") and ending ("Hey Jimmy") theme songs are pretty catchy after listening to it a couple of times. But I'm disappointed with the opening sequence that doesn't seem to match with the song "You gonna feel" at certain parts.
I believe there should be a PMK 2 as there's still more of the story and the characters to develop. Until then, I have fanfiction to look out for... :)
